I came across this really talented gal, Ashlee Keating and HAD to share her with you all. Ashlee has already opened for artists like Raven Symone, Demi Lovato and Keke Palmer. She has even appeared on Nickelodeon's 'iCarly' and 'Victorious'!
Here is an interview we did:
What has been the most challenging part of your job?
I would have to say coordinating my busy schedule can be a challenge at times, but it always works out! I love being busy!
You have appeared on some big shows, which one was your favorite?
Thank you. My favorite was definitely appearing on CBS Star Search in 2004 when I was only 10 years old!! It was an incredible experience!
What is the best advice you can give someone who is trying to follow in your footsteps?
The best advice I can give someone would be to definitely to never give up on your dreams!! If you work hard and continue to persevere no matter how hard it gets, you will get there!! Also, practice your singing and craft as much as possible. Practice makes perfect!
If you could put together your dream tour, who would be the lineup?
Myself, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, One Direction, Jennifer Lopez (JLO), and Jason Derulo
What are your guilty pleasures and do you have any hidden talents?
One of my guilty pleasures would definitely be a warm chocolate brownie with a melted ice cream sundae. Yes, I am very athletic and I was a competitive sailor on a sailing team and qualified for the US Team Trials when I was 14.
What music are you listening to right now?
Katy Perry’s song “Roar” is awesome! I also love songs off of Aviici’s album like “Wake Me Up”. “Safe and Sound” by Capital Cities, and “Clarity” by Zedd.
Do you have any fan moments that stand out to you the most?
Yes, definitely!! I will never forget when I opened up for Demi Lovato at Penns Landing In Philadelphia, PA. There was a thunder storm happening and the fans were so amazing they stood in the pouring rain and thunder getting soaking wet after my performance to make sure they had their spot in line for my meet and greet and merchandise table. Also, when I was leaving a whole mob of them chased me into the parking lot going to my car so I had to have a security person because it was so crazy! I love and appreciate my dedicated fans!!
What is your favorite city or country to perform in?
I love performing in the USA! My song was selected to be a part of the 52 Songs Of Happiness Campaign with Coca-Cola. Watch for the single with Coca-Cola coming out in November! I’ll also be releasing my music video for my single “Helluva Ride” really soon!
